A fire ripped tore through Umgababa flats (Ward 12) in Sasolburg on Tuesday. It started on the early hours of Tuesday, 22 March.
According to Metsimaholo Local Municipality (MLM), 16 units were immensely damaged and few people not exceeding five were admitted in hospital because of smoke inhalation.The MLM stated that it is eagerly waiting for the investigations and feedback into this disastrous incident and that it will ensure that a formal investigation into the cause of the fire is carried out speedily.
